Steamoji is the leading franchise brand in the high-growth, emerging category of STEM education centers for kids.

Steamoji is now open at Park Royal in West Vancouver in the new kids education wing, along with Pedalheads Swim and Scholars Education in the South Block near Taylor Way and the Capilano River Bridge.

Steamoji is a STEM maker academy for kids that has the mission to train the next generation of innovators. Technological change is accelerating. Many parents recognize STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) are fundamental in preparing their children for the careers of the future, but see schools more focused on traditional studies. Steamoji’s 400-hour curriculum is designed to fill the gap in a structured and reinforcing fashion across each subject pathway. Students are taught basic skills, then encouraged to practically apply them in the spirit of “Build to Solve”.

West Vancouver is Steamoji’s first corporate location. Steamoji’s Co-Founder, Hank Horkoff, created Steamoji to help teach his own two young sons STEM skills and this is where they continue to enjoy their weekly 2 sessions developing their skills.

Steamoji started at Park Royal at a ‘pop-up’ location in September 2020 and, despite the challenges presented by COVID-19 lockdowns was able to reach profitability within months.

This early success has inspired many parents of existing apprentices, or students, to want to open their own academy throughout the Vancouver region!
